Sport Sikandar Raza of Zimbabwe won the Player of the Month award
Dubai: Pakistan-born Zimbabwean cricketer Sikander Raza won the ICC Player of the Month award.
All-rounder Sikandar Raza is the first player from Zimbabwe to be named Player of the Month. He beat England captain Ben Stokes and New Zealand's Mitchell Santner to win the award.
"I would like to thank everyone who has been with me for the last three, four months, without the technical staff and the rest of the team, it would not have been possible," said Sikander Raza, who received the award.
"I would also like to take this opportunity to thank all the fans in Zimbabwe and abroad," he said.
It should be noted that recently Zimbabwe defeated Bangladesh in a three-match series while Australia was also defeated in one match. Sikandar Raza played an important role in Zimbabwe's victory.
